My name is Pinky(Jim) Starr, I’ve just handed a petition to number 10 and the PM. This was hand delivered on the 25th June to state how people of the UK believe people should have the right to use Cannabis to self medicate without the fear of prosecution. I still await Gordon Brown’s personal response. This petition was also signed by MP’s, doctors, rev, and people from different religions and different walks of life.

Please see my pain in this picture, just the journey could of caused me paralysis and has caused me further neurological problems. Only Cannabis kept me going that day. I passed a box of my pain and over 5000 signatures in to number 10 that day.

Why do you ignore us medical users of cannabis and the results of the ACMD meeting. There is no proof that using Cannabis can cause mental illness and it’s proven, only excessive abuse could possibly lead to a speeding up of certain mental illnesses.

Only one possible case by someone who severely abused the drug is not good enough reason to lock medicinal and recreational users up in prison for 5 years, for the same time of someone who has just been convicted of manslaughter.

We all have to go to back street dealers and fund criminal activity. I have had people steel my money many times as I’m unable to run after them. Why do we have to go to back street dealers to get Cannabis? All we are doing is funding the black market for £2000 a year. we could grow our own if were able to by law. I cannot grow myself as I don’t want to be taken away from my children. I’m a family person just like you!

Alcohol is fuelling the knife problems in the UK not Cannabis.

Your law under class c saw my friend locked up for 8 months, Victor Hamilton had Cannabis in his home for personal use. It was proven in court he had full medical backing and he gets 8 months of hell because he cannot use NHS meds due to internal medical problems.

You cannot kill people with Cannabis only cure certain cancers, stops them spreading. Stops breast cancer spreading, shrinks brain tumours and is better than morphine and other opoids for pain. Better than valium for spasticity and muscle spasms… it stops sickness and increases weight gain in people who are undergoing chemotherapy…. Oh did people forget to tell you this?

He doesn’t lie. He does his research before making statements. You didn’t ask the NHS why so many people and specialists write asking for licences to support medicinal Cannabis users who suffer from pain etc which they see in surgery. If you had of contacted the NHS they would of stated that letting people use and grow there own Cannabis would save the NHS billions of pounds in money, due to huge savings on expensive medication we are needing to try and control the problems we suffering legally. If Cannabis helps them, they don’t need as many expensive chemicals from the NHS.

There has never in the history books been a Cannabis drug related death. Cannabis is a lot less harmful than alcohol, please note how many deaths there are form alcohol abuse. We only use cannabis not abuse the drug.

Please run the same meeting with the ACMD council regarding alcohol and the see what figures they come back to you with . One in two hundred and fifty people who abuse drink will form psychosis PROVEN.

We sat at the end of Downing Street on Whitehall for the day on the 25th June 2008 thousands of people passed, we smoked hundreds of joints, including one I smoked all the way to number 10. I’m a medicinal Cannabis user who the NHS has let down. The police turned a blind eye and there was not one complaint was passed to the police present or station about that day. Please ask the police who were present if we deserved to be all locked up for using Cannabis. I have started a campaign to give medicinal Cannabis users the rights to self medicate with Cannabis without the fear of prosecution.

I have the backing of charities and organisations who are 100% behind me financially support. I am the voice of thousands of people in the UK who are bed ridden who could lead a better way of life if you would have a heart to let them live a better way of life legally.

My uncle was ignored by our government and my aunty Julie was left to rot in pain with MS as her religion stopped her using the drug legally. My uncle wrote to get licences and was ignored as we all have been.

We have enough wheelchairs to bring motorways to a close if we need to I have disability Now behind me and others, we will get a change in the UK laws. Many people agree with you on the new cannabis laws until they hear the truth about the drug and start asking why you ignore all the evidence available.

If you think we’re asking to much then why can people legally use Cannabis on the streets when there doctor gives them a Cannabis licence to take away with them to anywhere in the EU (in bud form) when people in the UK are been locked up for doing so. There is a way we can go abroad and get a prescription to use Cannabis in this country, but when our doctors want to give it to us and they cant, you decide we need locking up for 5 years doing so.

Can I please ask you why we deserve 5 years in prison for giving ourselves a better way of life, we have medical backing that Cannabis is the only drug we react well too?

I have friends who are sectioned under mental health act without Cannabis. The NHS medications fail to control there mental schizophrenic state. when they use Cannabis they lead a normal way of life.

During our protest in London and moonied to the PM in mass. To ask why Gordon Brown has been ignoring us all!

How do you like it when we turn our backs on you Mr Brown? Was the message on our backs.

Then you come on the scene and all you can say is for medicinal Cannabis users to go and get more help from the NHS or face 5 years in prison.

THE NHS CANNOT HELP US, THEY WANT US TO BE ABLE TO USE CANNABIS LEGALLY.

What happens when you have in writing that the NHS state that all conventional treatments fail and Cannabis is the only drug that controls conditions giving them a better way of life?

Well thousands and thousands of people in the UK have used Cannabis undercover for the fear of prosecution and prison sentences.

As we cant stand and fight we will combine in masses and sit down and get seen and heard in your home town of Redditch later on this year.

Medicinal users combined with recreational users will be lobbying you in your home town. We will not be left to be ignored, so we go away or die and leave you in peace. you hurt all of us reclassifying the law on cannabis, back to class b with no proof of your actions. We will not be left to rot.

I would like to meet you in person, with a selected few medicinal and recreational users of Cannabis including doctors who can explain the properties of medicinal Cannabis. Lets hope you listen to the individuals as you have proven you have ignored all committees and organisations so far.

Until you find yourself incapacitated with pain like us, you wont know what a heartless person you sounded making that comment on medicinal users upon reclassification. You proved to us that you have been ignoring us all

I made Protest London work as one. Now you have individuals and organisations all combining together to sort this problem out once and for all.

Please, Listen to us listen to the ACMD committee and free medicinal users and recreational users from prison.

We will be protesting in Redditch in October.

Look at USA, Canada, Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium, Germany and Holland medicinal cannabis laws. They all back medicinal Cannabis users and medicinal Cannabis users are now free from prosecution there.

I also stand up to support recreational users too. I’d rather stay within a group of smokers nowadays, drinkers are to dangerous and so violent to hang around with.. they will be supporting downgrading Cannabis with us. The trip will possibly cause me irreversible nerve damage. We should not even have to leave home. This is the pain you are causing people. Just because you wont listen to any of us!

The protest will be large, to large for Redditch to handle. We will close roads with barricades of disabled people in wheelchairs if this is needed for us to get noticed

God made cannabis, man made booze. We know who we trust!

Hi Mr Brown,
You have had a lot of people write to your labour government over years about allowing people who your NHS has let down over pain relief etc who use cannabis for self medicating reasons.

You have ignored all pleas that have been put forward to you. Humedi.org has tried to contact you by telephone, letters and emails and you still ignore us. I wrote an email to Mr Blair stating my mental state as I was suicidal at the time. I still had no response. You have been called a coward by members of Humedi and I believe them to be right.

Cannabis to me as I suffer neurological pain is a matter of life or death. Your government still will not listen to us you have left us no choice apart from me and a selected few others to arrange a march to downing street, which will be documented for TV, to stand up against you and to make you listen to our cries. We will be coming in the summer to Downing Street gates so people can see how you have treated the disabled people of Britain.

We will prove how you have ignored all the letters, emails and telephone calls made to you. We have had enough of buying contaminated medication off the streets. All of us who will be coming to London will have medical proof of our conditions and medical backing from GP’s, specialists etc who can prove cannabis gives us a better way of life. You have been warned we are coming, but have still ignored us all.

Reap the consequences Mr brown unless you will talk to us and hear real stories, from real people. Just because we are unable to stand up and fight we can still sit down in wheelchairs etc and let your people know how you ignore the people of Great Britain who cannot stand up and fight.

We are not asking you to do much just listen to us and help us, where your NHS can not! We just want, what our human right allow us and that is to self medicate ourselves with cannabis as your NHS has failed to be able to control our pain and suffering with opoids etc. we are left with a choice, cannabis or opoids what would you rather take?

We will let you know dates as soon as we get the dates that the production team are available to cover our stories. All letters you have ignored will be used too. The people of your country will want to know why you and every other member of your cabinet have ignored us. Someone has to take the blame and your name pops up all the while Mr Brown.

We will get you to listen even it does take the TV to prove what your really like in real life and you just continue to ignore the disabled peoples cries. The law needs to be changed and I’m not on about for recreational use, I’m on about medicinal use.

By the way cannabis spray was prescribed to me by my GP my mistake and the results of the spray were excellent. so much so my mp, GP and pain specialist has tried to get the health authority to give me a special licence to be able to get the pain relief in need via the NHS, but are unable to obtain the spray because of your laws.

Cannabis is the difference between me been bed ridden and rely on a powered wheel chair or with cannabis I can lead a better way of life. Only you can help us, all we want is exemption from prosecution if cannabis use is backed up for the person via pain specialist etc when the NHS cannot help.

The trip is going to cause me so much pain I will take weeks to recover from the trip, the trip may even cause me permanent nerve damage due to inflammation but I don’t care you have left us to rot anyhow and we are fed up of been treated like criminals as your NHS has failed to help us.

See your road soon. I know we won’t see you as you’re a coward!
